The Quran Reading Holiday Bootcamp is an intensive six-week program designed to help students learn to read the Quran or memorize surahs if they are already proficient in reading. The bootcamp includes check-ins and tasks.

When will the bootcamp take place?

The bootcamp is open to teenagers, aged 11 years old and above who are interested in learning to read the Quran or those who wish to enhance their Quranic memorization skills.

The primary goal is for participants to develop the ability to read the Quran independently by the end of the six-week program. For those who can already read, the objective is to memorize additional surahs.

How will progress be measured?

Progress will be monitored through the completion and submission of daily tasks. Regular feedback including tajwid improvement will be provided to help participants improve and stay on track.

3.  Program Structure

What is the daily schedule?

Participants are required to join compulsory daily morning check-ins via Zoom from 0700-0800, Mon-Thu only. The purpose of these sessions is so that they will wake up for the Subuh (Fajr) prayer and remain awake to spend time learning the Quran.

What happens during the morning check-ins?

During the morning check-ins, participants will read Quran and Dua together. Afterwards they will listen to a story from the Quran. Then they will be given a daily task related to Quran reading or memorization which they are expected to submit within 6 hours via whatsapp video recording. This ensures their active engagement and progress throughout the bootcamp.

4.   Tasks and Activities

What kind of tasks will be given?

If participants are learning to read the Quran, their tasks will focus on improving their reading skills. They will start from the very basic of alif-ba-ta, their zero state, and work their way up towards their hero state being able to read until Surah Ad-Dhuha . For those who can already read, tasks will involve memorizing specific surahs (chapters) of the Quran, starting with the shorter surahs first.

How are tasks submitted?

Tasks should be submitted within 6 hours of the morning check-in. Specific instructions on how to submit tasks will be provided during the check-ins.

What is the purpose of the tasks?

The tasks are designed to immerse participants in the bootcamp process, ensuring they are consistently practising and improving their Quran reading or memorization skills. Daily consistency and continuous improvement is what will lead them to mastery of the Quran reading skills.

How do I join the morning check-ins?

Upon successful registration participants will receive a Zoom link in their student portal for the daily morning check-ins. Ensure you have the necessary equipment and a stable internet connection to join the sessions.

What if I miss a check-in?

It is important to attend all check-ins to gain the full benefit of the bootcamp. If you must miss a session, please inform the organizers in advance and ensure you catch up on any missed tasks. The video recording of the daily morning check-ins are available only for 24-hours in student portal. It will be automatically removed by the system at 8am the next day.
