High Frequency Word of The Quran #89: وَلِي

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim.

    Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

Dear student of the Noble Quran,

It gives me great pleasure to share with you High Frequency Words from the Quran and its wisdom everyday.

Previously you’ve learned 11 High Frequency Words from the Quran, yesterday’s HFW being (هُدَى). The HFW you will learn today is repeated for 86 times in the Quran. As of today you’ve learned 12 words from the Quran. Collectively these words are being used for 992 times in the Quran! MasyaAllah! Let’s continue reading!

Today’s HFW of The Quran means “protector”. If we understand our position in this world as a servant, we understand our need for protection, not only for ourselves, but for our family, our businesses, our children, and protection for everyone and everything that we love and care about. Allah s.w.t. is the only one that protects our everything and everyone, he is the Best Protector and to Him should we seek protection.

While last HFW talks about guidance, which can only come from Allah, today’s HFW reminds us of Allah, how He is our True Master and we are nothing but His servants.

Which reminds us of surah Al-Fatihah, iyyaka na’budu wa iyyaka nasta’ieen.

Your 12th High Frequency Word of the Quran:

Aspire list of HFW Number: #89

    وَلِي

    Transliteration: Waliyy

    Meaning:  Protector

    Meaning in Malay: Pemelihara

Frequency in the Quran: 86 times

First Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 2 (2:107)

Last Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Jumu’ah, Verse 6 (62:6)

Today’s word is (ولي)  which means protector. As our Creator, Allah s.w.t. is the Best Protector, because not only does He knows the best way to protect us and our interests, He Protects us with RAHMAH, love and care beyond the love of a loving mother. HIS protection encompasses the now, the past and the future, all time and space. When we seek protection, only from HIM do we seek it. And HE provides it without any condition except that we realize our position in His eyes as His servant, and as a khalifah. A servant leader is always under the protection, guidance and love from Allah. And we can acheive the Nobility of a servant leader in whatever that we do when we can feel the presence of Allah s.w.t. The Quran teaches how best to be a servant leader. Be servant leader today!

In Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 107 (2:107), Allah says:

“Do you not know that to Allah belongs the kingdom of heaven and earth? And you don’t have anyone else as Protector and as Savior! (read it again with a happy tone)”

    2_107

This life is a journey and to Allah is the destination. Unpredictability is the nature of all journeys and the essence of any adventure. True safety is when we are granted protection in our journey. Allah s.w.t is the best protector and He is also the Best Savior! But when we refuse to be accept His protection and refuse Him as our Savior who can protect and save us?? None! But is there anyone who refuse? Yes. Those who refuse to accept themselves as servants in the eyes of Allah by refusing to apply His guidance and practice His religion.

It is important in this journey and any other journey that we arrive at our destination safely and in harmony. Thus let’s accept our position as servants of Allah s.w.t. and plant that seed to be a better servant to Him everyday

A successful and blissful journey is never accomplished without protection, May Allah be our protection for us, for everything and everyone that we love and care.

  • High Frequency Word of The Quran #90: هُدَى

High Frequency Word of The Quran #90: هُدَى

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim.

    Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

Dear student of the Noble Quran,

It gives me great pleasure to share with you High Frequency Words from the Quran and its wisdom everyday.

Previously you’ve learned 10 High Frequency Words from the Quran, yesterday’s HFW being (حَكِيْم). The HFW you will learn today is repeated for 85 times in the Quran. As of today you’ve learned 11 words from the Quran. Collectively these words are being used for 906 times in the Quran! MasyaAllah! Let’s continue reading!

Your 11th High Frequency Word of the Quran:

Aspire list of HFW Number: #90

    هُدَى

    Transliteration: Huda

    Meaning:  Guidance

    Meaning in Malay: Bimbingan/Petunjuk

Frequency in the Quran: 85 times

First Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 2 (2:2)

Last Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Alaq, Verse 11 (96:11)

Today’s HFW of The Quran is very important indeed if we want to have a successful and happy life. Without it real success and true happiness is impossible! It is also related to yesterday’s word hakeem which means a wise person, or a person full of wisdom.

Today’s word is (هُدَى)  which means guidance. GUIDANCE is very important, it is through guidance that we gain knowledge, it is also very important because Guidance leads to Clarity, and Clarity leads to Wisdom, and Wisdom leads to Harmony!

The person who is lost and the person who is guided is not the same. The person who is guided will reach his destination safely and in harmony. While the lost may not even reach his destination let alone achieve harmony. Everyday we must thank Allah for the guidance in the Quran and in Sunnah of our beloved Prophet, with it insyaAllah we will reach our destination in Harmony!

In Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 2 (2:2), Allah says:

“That is the book no doubt about it, guidance for those who are conscious of Allah!”

    2_2

In Surah Al-Fatihah we are taught by Allah s.w.t. to ask Him for guidance, to seek guidance from Him. And He taught us to ask Him everyday, and we do it at the very least 17 times daily, since we read Surah Al-Fatihah in every single rakaah, and more if perform the sunnah prayers. So has He answered us? The answer is without any doubt YES! We read Surah Al-Fatihah asking for guidance in the first page of the Noble Quran, and in the very next page Allah s.w.t. answered us, in fact HE answered us even before time was created, and He says: “That is the book no doubt about it, guidance for those who are conscious of Allah!”. This is a sign that the guidance that we look for, the guidance that we need from Him is ready and it is in The Book we just need to pick it and read it, understand it and apply it in our life.

We need to ask ourselves this question. If we don’t understand the Quran, how can it guide us? How can a map lead us to our destination if we don’t know how to read the map? Understanding the Quran is an essential element for it to be guidance for us. Even if the only thing we can afford to do is to learn just one word a day, the word will be His guidance for us, and we will be closer to Him, and our life will be more complete

Guidance is the beginning of every wonderful end, it leads to HARMONY. I hope and pray for us all to arrive at our destination safely together.

  • High Frequency Word of The Quran #91: حَكِيم

High Frequency Word of The Quran #91: حَكِيم

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim.

    Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

Dear student of the Noble Quran,

It gives me great pleasure to share with you High Frequency Words from the Quran and its wisdom everyday.

Previously you’ve learned 9 High Frequency Words from the Quran, yesterday’s being (فَضْل). The HFW you will learn today is repeated for 84 times in the Quran. As of today you’ve learned 10 words from the Quran. Collectively these words are being used for 821 times in the Quran! MasyaAllah! Let’s continue reading!

Your 10th High Frequency Word of the Quran:

Aspire list of HFW Number: #91

    حَكِيم

    Transliteration: Hakeem!

Meaning: a person full of wisdom/ a wise person!

Meaning in Malay: orang yang bijaksana!

Frequency in the Quran: 84 times

First Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 32 (2:32)

Last Mention in Quran: Surah At-Tahreem, Verse 2 (66:2)

Today’s HFW of The Quran is my favorite word!

    I fell in love with it since I was 17, 1st Year of Pre-U.

It helps put things in HARMONY!

If we get to apply it every Monday, every day of the week shall be in HARMONY! It’s what I discussed every in QURAN MASTERCLASS Tafsir Al-Quran sessions. I will continue to talk about it in every session.

Today’s word is  (حَكِيْم) it is an adjective to describe a WISE person / full of WISDOM, and with this wisdom is able to put things in its rightful place. With prefix (ال) , al-hakeem which means the wise one, is one of the name of Allah s.w.t.”!

In Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 32 (2:32), Allah says:

“And the angels said “Glory be to you, We have no knowledge, except what you taught us, indeed you are All-Knowing, All-Wise

    2_32

Not all who has knowledge has Wisdom, but all who has wisdom has knowledge! Those who judge others may have knowledge of what’s right and what’s wrong, but those who judge themselves definitely have WISDOM. With wisdom we put ourselves and others, in proper and rightful place, when everything is in its rightful place, there’s no room for chaos, and that will allow us to experience living in a world where nothing ever goes wrong! A blessing for those who experience living with Allah and His Words!

You may want to ask where does wisdom come from? How can we acquire it? To my knowledge and experience, wisdom or hikmah only comes from Allah s.w.t. but we have to show that we are deserving of it. We cannot just expect Allah s.w.t. to just give us wisdom without us showing that we deserve it. Wisdom comes from years and years of applying the knowledge learned and experiencing the knowledge and the consequences. With that said the main activity of gaining wisdom is to listen and observe more than reacting. The best way to do this is to have mentor and to model after him. By modelling, following after a mentor, we will learn what works and what doesn’t, where is the rightful place to put things and where is the wrong place to put them.

The effect of attaining wisdom is harmony. When things in our life are all placed in its proper place we they will function properly, and when everything functions properly our life will be in harmony. So if your life is in chaos try to start placing things in it’s proper place, one thing at a time. InsyaAllah slowly harmony will introduce itself into your space.

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim.

    Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

Dear student of the Noble Quran,

It gives me great pleasure to share with you High Frequency Words from the Quran and its wisdom everyday.

Previously you’ve learned 8 High Frequency Words from the Quran, yesterday’s being (لَيْل) and 7 HFWs the previous week. The HFW you will learn today is repeated for 83 times in the Quran. As of today you’ve learned 9 words from the Quran. Collectively these words are being used for 737 times in the Quran! MasyaAllah! Let’s continue reading!

Today’s HFW of The Quran is soo wonderful!

And if you’re reading this on a Friday, what a coincidence!

    I’ll tell you why in a second…

    Today’s word is  (فَضْل) which means “bounty/abundance”!

Your 9th High Frequency Word of the Quran:

Aspire list of HFW Number: #92

    فَضْل

    Transliteration: Fadl

    Meaning: Bounty/Abundance

    Meaning in Malay: Kelebihan

Frequency in the Quran: 84 times

First Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 64 (2:64)

Last Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Muzzammil, Verse 20 (73:20)

In Surah Al-Jumu’ah, Verse 10 (62:10), Allah says:

“And when the prayer has been performed, dispersed within the land and SEEK the bounty/abundance from Allah!”

     62_10

Allah loves us soo much that He made the bounty and abundance ready for us! HE knows we will do the seeking of HIS bounty and abundance more efficiently after we had performed our solah and that’s why HE commanded us when the time for pray comes drop everything of this world and quickly get the energy from Solah. Once solah is done continue your seeking you’ll find the bounty and abundance better!

One of the things that I remember when studying in Al-Azhar University is this words delivered in a particular lecture. The lecturer said: “You can perform Qada’ on the solah which has passed it’s time. But you will not get the barakah of the time!” MasyaAllah! The barakah of the time, the barakah of being in the NOW is in our solah! And when we find the barakah in time, by performing solah in time, we find barakah space and place! Where ever we go we will find Allah’s bounty and abundance. In fact I believe Allah s.w.t. places His bounty and abundance everywhere but the key to this bounty and abundance is the barakah of time! Can you see the relation of this concept and that of from Surah Wal ‘Asr, which begins “By time, human are at loss!”

So many of us complain of not having enough time. Now we know that the bounty of time is Solah and when we perform solah in time, we find the bounty of Allah and His abundance everywhere. How about you? Do you believe you will find the bounty and abundance of Allah, or fadhlullah everywhere when you perform your solah in time? The key to be successful is in our hands! 🙂

Allah is the Best rite! Share the spirit with the world k?

  • High Frequency Word of The Quran #93: لَيْل

High Frequency Word of The Quran #93: لَيْل

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim.

    Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

Dear student of the Noble Quran,

It gives me great pleasure to share with you High Frequency Words from the Quran and its wisdom everyday.

Previously you’ve learned 7 High Frequency Words from the Quran, (َأَصْحَاب) ,(مَا) ,(يَوْم) ,(كَيْف) ,(شَيْطَان) ,(يَبَنِي) and (صَلَوة). The HFW you will learn today is repeated for 83 times in the Quran. As of today you’ve learned 8 words from the Quran. Collectively these words are being used for 654 times in the Quran! MasyaAllah! Let’s continue reading!

Today we learn about the word (لَيْل) which means “night”.

Your 8th High Frequency Word of the Quran:

Aspire list of HFW Number: #93

    لَيْل

    Transliteration: lail

    Meaning: Night

    Meaning in Malay: Malam

Frequency in the Quran: 83 times

First Mention in Quran: Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 164 (2:164)

Last Mention in Quran: Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 3 (93:3)

In Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 164 (2:164), Allah says:

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.

    2_164

Indeed the creation of night and day is magical and full of wisdom. Allah created day for us to strive and work, and He created for us night to rest and reflect on our effort, to thank him for the good performance, and to repent for the malperformance and intend to improve tomorrow.

He created the stars for us to reflect on his blessings which is as infinite as the stars at night. We would be happier once we stop counting the money in our accounts and start counting the blessings bestowed upon us and our families. So lets start counting HIS blessings!

The night is a gift from Allah s.w.t. to you, use as means for your to get closer to Him. Use it as an event of the day that you talk to Him. Use it to wind down from you worldly affairs. Use the night to get closer with you family, with your parents, with your children and siblings, talk to them, share your hopes and dream with them and also practice being a good listener. Listen to them genuinely, who know you’ll be the chosen one to help them with their current challenges or solve their problems. And when all that is done start talking to Allah, talk to Allah about your own challenges or ask Allah for strength and guidance. When we are with Allah we are strong and directed. And if we are strong and directed we can lead others.

So remember to talk to Allah at night to build your strength and find your direction!
Coz tomorrow is a brand new day and with the help from Allah you shall make it complete!
